Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality

CFA is committed to maintaining high levels of integrity and public trust through the application of good governance and transparency practices.

The Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy and Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Business Rule outline CFA's position with respect to fulfilling responsibilities and obligations when CFA staff and volunteers must:

  • respond to all offers of gifts, benefits and hospitality, whether they are accepted or declined; and
  • provide gifts, benefits and hospitality as a formal courtesy or at an appropriate occasion.

CFA's position has been developed in accordance with the Victorian Public Sector Commission’s Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Framework issued in October 2016.

CFA maintains a register of all offers of gifts, benefits or hospitality, regardless of their value or whether they are accepted or declined. This register is updated regularly.

Please refer to CFA’s Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy and Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Business Rule in the first instance prior to making offers to CFA volunteers, staff and/or Board members.

If you have any queries regarding CFA’s Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy please contact CFA’s Gifts Officer via email gifts@cfa.vic.gov.au
