A key Training Hub situated on approx. 30 hectares located near Bendigo. This Training campus offers a wide range of hands-on learning, environments that replicate real life scenarios ensuring attendees and any responders are prepared for the challenges they face in the field.
A standout feature of this facility is its Fire Investigation Unit, a specialised facility where crews learn to examine fire behaviour, identifying points of origin and determine causes. Training in this space strengthens the ability to understand how fires start and spread, which in turn supports prevention strategies and enhances community safety.
In addition to the FIU Unit this site provides practical training areas for suppression, rescue, and incident response giving personnel the opportunity to work together under realistic conditions. This holistic approach ensures every attendee leaves Huntly with both technical experience alongside teamwork and decision-making skills ensuring correct management of complex emergent situations.
By combining advanced facilities with experienced Instruction, VEMTC Huntly plays a vital role in building resilience and readiness across Victoria’s Emergency and Private Agencies.
