CFA Public Fund

The CFA Public Fund supports CFA's provision of a volunteer based emergency service.

The general objects of CFA's Public Fund are to raise and receive money for the purpose of supporting the coordination of CFA's volunteer fire brigades, including, but not limited to meet the costs of:

  • purchasing and maintaining firefighting vehicles, equipment, and facilities,
  • providing training and resources to volunteers and staff, and
  • to otherwise meet administrative expenses of CFA which are associated with our organisation's mission to protect lives and property, and our vision for Victorian communities to be prepared for and safe from fire.

Country Fire Authority is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Donors have the option to tell us how they would like their donations to be used. Some options include:

  • General Project Funding
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Fire Safety Research
  • Community Engagement
  • Volunteer Leadership Development
  • Volunteer Development.
