Eligible Volunteers Rebate Scheme (Volunteers Rebate)

The Victorian Government has announced that from 1 July 2025, the Fire Services Property Levy (FSPL) will be replaced by the Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund (ESVF).

The Government will use the ESVF to fund a range of emergency services including the Victoria State Emergency Services (VICSES), the Country Fire Authority (CFA) and Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV).

Eligible CFA and VICSES volunteers will be able to apply for the Volunteers Rebate on their principal place of residence or farm.

The Volunteers Rebate will be administered by Department of Government Services (DGS). CFA is working with DGS to ensure it has accurate information about volunteers who are eligible to be considered for a rebate based on the criteria which has been outlined on the Victorian Government website.
