Support & Partnerships

There are many ways individuals and organisations can support the work of CFA's volunteers.

Donate to CFA

CFA is grateful to receive support from individuals, community groups, businesses, foundations and Government entities around Australia and across the world.

Your support helps our volunteers to keep their communities safe.

CFA uses donations, of both cash and in-kind goods and services, to bolster the business-critical needs that are funded by Government.

At CFA, you may choose to donate to one of two funds, both of which are tax deductible.

I want to donate to support CFA's provision of volunteer-based emergency service activities to ensure that Victorian communities are prepared for and safe from fire.

When you donate to the CFA Public Fund your money goes towards building capabilities of CFA’s volunteers. Funded programs include volunteer leadership development, scholarships for young and aspiring Victorians living in regional and remote areas, community engagement, digital learning and training and mental health and wellbeing programs.

Give a grant to CFA

Grants from charitable foundations and PAFs across Australia and around the world help fund many of the volunteer development and community safety projects at CFA, as well as individual brigades.

First, choose which fund you wish to give to (see above).

If your grant is $10,000 or less, please donate via credit card.

If you grant exceeds $10,000, please donate via EFT.

If you require CFA to complete application materials in order to award the grant, please email us at cfagivingcommunity@cfa.vic.gov.au or please call +61 (03) 9262 8444

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is one of the simplest and most effective ways you can donate to CFA.

You choose the amount of your salary you wish to donate, and it will be deducted from your pay, using your employer’s payroll system – giving you an instant tax benefit.

Let your employer know that you want to give regular donations to CFA. If we are not already one of your organisation’s charities of choice, please nominate us.

If you are interested in setting up a Workplace Giving program where you work, or if you have other enquiries about Workplace Giving please email us at cfagivingcommunity@cfa.vic.gov.au or please call +61 (03) 9262 8444.

Make a Gift in your Will

Leave a lasting legacy and include a gift in your Will to CFA or to a CFA brigade.

If you are creating or updating a Will to include a gift to the CFA & Brigades Donations Fund or a particular Brigade, please download our sample wording  (PDF 199.3KB) that can be used or modified to reflect the specifications of your bequest in your Will.

Please let us know if you include the CFA & Brigades Donations Fund in your Will. This allows us to personally thank you and, with your consent, recognise your generous support.

To notify us of a bequest or if you are interested in further information about bequests, please email us at cfagivingcommunity@cfa.vic.gov.au or please call +61 (03) 9262 8444.

Donation of goods and services

The best way you can help CFA in its mission to protect Victorian lives and property is through financial donations.

In general, CFA does not accept in-kind donations of goods and services. However, in certain circumstances, exceptions are made. For enquiries, please contact cfagivingcommunity@cfa.vic.gov.au

Donate to Volunteer and Community Welfare

Funds donated to CFA do not directly support the welfare of volunteers and communities impacted by fire. However, CFA recommends supporting a related organisation that does this.

I want to donate to support the wellbeing of volunteer firefighters

Volunteer Welfare Fund

Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) has a Volunteer Welfare Fund which makes small grants on a needs basis to CFA volunteers, long serving former volunteers and their families, who are experiencing significant financial hardship. The grants are designed to alleviate stresses that can affect the individual’s ability to continue as a volunteer.
