CFA has a range of fire safety programs for children and young people, from school incursions, lesson plans and resources, to web-based interactive games and resources. They have been designed with children and young people in mind.

Children are at high risk of death or injury in a house or bushfire.

CFA programs and resources are designed to increase fire awareness and safety for pre-primary through to secondary school aged students.

All programs are informed by best practice and are designed to be developmentally appropriate for the target audience, and many align with the Australian or Victorian curriculum.

Some programs are delivered by trained CFA members, while other resources are available anytime online for parents, teachers and children to access.

Secondary School (Years 7-9) Disaster Resilience Education Victoria

5 x one hour lessons

In Victoria we experience storms, floods and bushfires. Disaster resilience education gives students the knowledge and skills they need to help build resilience in their homes, schools and communities.
