A large number of CFA brigades around Victoria offer a fully accredited professional fire equipment maintenance service for businesses, organisations, schools and community groups.

Our teams visit 48,000 industry sites each year, servicing almost 500,000 pieces of equipment. Clients include small businesses, local councils, state government agencies, water authorities, schools, aged care and other healthcare facilities through out Victoria.

CFA sells and can install:

  • smoke alarms

We can arrange the inspection and servicing of:

CFA offers professional and quality servicing to meet the Building Code of Australia's Essential Safety Measures requirements.

Servicing and installation is completed by qualified service technicians to the relevant Australian Standards (AS 1851, AS 2444) and Building regulations. For ongoing clients, inspection and servicing is conducted every 6 months as per the Standards.

How funds are used

The vast majority of funds generated through CFA Fire Equipment Maintenance activities goes to local CFA brigades to support the community, and a small amount covers necessary administration costs.

CFA has a central Service Centre and field officers located across the state to support brigades.

CFA's Fire Equipment Maintenance services are organised out of Bendigo. CFA also has Community Safety Officers located in Ballarat, Melton, Geelong and Bendigo who support FEM activities.
