CFA provides lesson plans and resources for early childhood educators to teach fire safety to kinder-aged children. Our resources use play-based learning and hands-on activities to make learning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.

What kinder-aged children can learn

  • How to stay safe from hot things
  • Matches and lighter safety.

CFA programs for kinder-aged children

Truck Time

Truck Time is a hands-on experience where children can see a fire truck, watch a fire hose demonstration and meet a firefighter in person.

Fire Wise Kids

Fire Wise Kids offers five lessons delivered by CFA for kindergarten and primary school students, to teach kids fire safety. The program aligns with the Victorian curriculum (F-10 V2).
