Get Fire Ready

As Victoria heads into what is expected to be a challenging fire season, it’s more important than ever for residents and property owners to understand their local fire risk and take steps to prepare.

To support communities across the state, CFA brigades will host Get Fire Ready events across the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October or another day in October offering practical advice and resources to help you get ready for the fire season. 

What to expect at Get Fire Ready event:

• Get tips on preparing your home and property
• Understand Fire Danger Ratings and where to find emergency information
• Learn how to create a Bushfire Survival Plan
• Connect with your local CFA brigade

Whether you live in a high-risk area or just want to be better prepared, attending a local event is a great way to take action.
