CFA has free lesson plans, publications, and reading lists to help secondary school educators teach home and bushfire safety. These resources build students’ understanding and awareness of fire risk, and show practical ways they can help keep themselves and their families safe.

Fire safety skills for teens

Our resources for secondary school students include free lesson plans and support materials that are aligned with the Victorian curriculum. They help teens understand:

  • How to improve fire safety at home and in their community
  • The role of fire in our environment
  • How climate change affects the frequency, size, and severity of fires
  • Their role in preventing fires and keeping themselves and others safe.
