People of culturally and linguistically diverse communities are often unable to access fire safety information due to a lack of information in their community language.
Fired Up English is a fire safety education program that has been designed for adults from a non-English speaking background who are studying English as a second language (ESL classes).

There are four main fire safety education topics covered in the resource. These are:
Fired Up English is not a set program but has been designed to give ESL teachers a range of activity ideas. The resource includes fire safety discussion cards and a range of activity sheets and other options for teachers to choose from.
Fired Up English has been designed so that ESL teachers can deliver it without input from CFA. Including CFA personnel in some lessons however, would be an added benefit for students.
