Identification of street hydrants Identification of Street Hydrants for Firefighting Purposes

Provides the fire services preferred position on the identification of street hydrants.

Developed by CFA with the assistance of the Department of Natural Resources and the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board.

The guidelines are intended to be utilised by water utilities (their consultants and contractors), municipalities and other parties responsible for the provision and maintenance of identification components of street hydrants for fire fighting purposes.
