NSP Assessment Guideline Cover Thumbnail Neighbourhood Safer Places - Assessment Guideline

The following is the CFA Assessment Guidelines for Neighbourhood Safer Places (NSP). The guideline sets out the criteria to be applied by CFA in relation to assessing the suitability of potential Neighbourhood Safer Places.

At the request of a municipal council, CFA will assess the suitability of a proposed NSP, and advise the council in relation to its suitability as an NSP based on this criteria. Council will, through its Municipal Emergency Planning Committee, further consider the use of the space as an NSP taking into account a broader range of issues such as access and owner consent before formally designating the NSP.
