Fire Danger Rating recommended actions

Fire Danger Ratings predict fire behaviour should a fire start and how difficult it will be to put it out.

You need to know the daily Fire Danger Rating in your district to stay safe.

The Fire Danger Rating is your trigger to act.

The higher the rating the more dangerous the conditions.

Fire Danger Ratings will feature in weather forecasts during the fire season.

They will be broadcast on radio and TV, appear in some newspapers and be available on the CFA, DELWP and Bureau of Meteorology websites. Or ring the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226.
