The MFPP must be in accordance with the advice and recommendations
of the Municipal Fire Prevention Committee.
The plan:
- identifies areas, buildings and land use in the municipality,
which are at particular risk in the event of fire.
- specifies how each identified risk is to be treated, and
- specifies who is responsible for treating the identified risks.
The plan needs to be up to date and accurate. CFA must audit the
MFPP of every municipality in the country area of Victoria at least
once every three years. The audit checks the
compliance of MFPPs with the legislative obligations set out in
Section 55A of the CFA
