Training
With the work that CFA does and the number of firefighters and personnel
involved, it’s little surprise that CFA has a significant
training program.
All of our firefighters are trained to maintain safety and effectively
fight fires and attend a range of incidents.
CFA has a number of instructors and training centres across Victoria.
Our training centres are located at:
- Bangholme (South East Melbourne)
- Penshurst (Western District)
- Longerenong (near Horsham)
- Bendigo
- Sale (Gippsland)
- Wangaratta, and
- Fiskville (near Ballan / Bacchus Marsh)
Fiskville is the largest and most comprehensive of CFA's field training

Our facilities are also utilised by many companies and private industry
for specialised training and conferences.
