With the work that CFA do and the number of firefighters and personnel involved, it’s little surprise that CFA have a significant training program.

All of our firefighters are trained to maintain safety and effectively fight fires and attend a range of incidents.

Firefighter

CFA have a number of instructors and training centres across Victoria. Our training centres are located at:

  • Bangholme (South East Melbourne)
  • Penshurst (Western District)
  • Longerenong (near Horsham)
  • Bendigo
  • Sale (Gippsland)
  • Wangaratta, and
  • Fiskville (near Ballan / Bacchus Marsh)

Our facilities are also utilised by many companies or private industry for specialised training and conferences.
