Equipment

CFA relies on a range of fire stations and trucks to meet the needs of the community it serves.

Pumper

From small tin sheds in many rural locations, to large urban fire stations servicing the needs of busy areas such as the City of Greater Dandenong, CFA aims to have the equipment necessary to service the risks that exist in different locations.

District Mechanical Officers (DMO’s) are located at 13 workshops across the state to service and maintain the extensive CFA truck fleet. DMOs will also travel to the fire ground to maintain our equipment during incidents.

We also rely on aircraft during the summer months to assist firefighting operations.

CFA operations are supported by one of the most extensive communications networks in the Southern Hemisphere.

Protective Clothing

CFA is developing new protective clothing for firefighters. Find out more...
